“Bryan Ferry in every single regard embodies the very ethos of The Rake and the founding principles in which it was created,” Wei Koh, founder & group editorial director of Revolution Press, reiterates the reason for the Rake party co-hosted by Anderson & Sheppard for Bryan Ferry. And, surely enough, these wise words took physical form on the 11th of September, at an event, which showcased some excellent tailoring, and even greater company.

17 Clifford Street, the new Anderson & Sheppard premises, played host to this charming evening of wit and more than a dash of Pol Roger Extra Cuvée de Reserve Pure Brut, which welcomed an abundance of esteemed tailors, writers, craftsmen, artists, and other guests including AA Gill, Nicky Haslam, Luca and Chiara Rubinacci, Guy Pelly, Jools Holland, Alexander Kraft, George Glasgow, and Julien de Luca.

Bryan’s wife, Amanda Sheppard, and his son, Isaac Ferry, were also there amongst the revelers, celebrating his being on the front cover of The Rake’s September 2012 issue. The ever-suave face of rock came sharply dressed in Anderson & Sheppard (what else?) and, along with his nonchalant charm, commanded much attention and congratulations from the second he walked in till his departure for dinner with Wei Koh and editor-in-chief of The Rake, Nick Scott.
